Jake Snakenberg was your typical all-American teenage boy who was fun loving, friendly and gregarious. Jake lived life to the fullest embracing friends, family and always having room in his heart to be there for others.
On September 19, 2004 he lost his life to second impact syndrome while playing football. This was a consequence of the unrecognized significance of concussion and traumatic brain injury.
Jake’s legacy in death as in life continues to be helping others by raising the awareness of the consequences of traumatic brain injury as exemplified in the namesake legislation “The Jake Snakenberg Youth Concussion Act.”
His memory lives on in our hearts and there is no doubt that he would be proud to be a part of the Aasha Brain Clinic.
